Notes on travel to Bhutan 1 (Immigration, Hotel, Currency Exchange)

Immigration

When you enter Japan, you will be asked to show your “Immigration Card”, “Passport” and “Visa Certificate”. Follow the instructions of the staff.

For the immigration card, the immigration part is separated and the customs declaration form and the immigration card part are returned. Please bring these items with you when you leave Japan.

Flying to Bhutan
Bhutan's national airline Duc Air (Druk Air) has to travel to the peso from Bangkok-Delhi-Kolkata-Kathmandu. With the latest Airbus A319 aircraft, you can enjoy one of the most spectacular air travel in the world. The highlight is Kathmandu to Bhutan, and it will cross four of the fifth highest mountains in the world. Road to Bhutan
Travelers can enter from Phuentsholing, a town located southwest of Bhutan. Punzorin is located about 170km east of the Indian national airport, and the mountain trip to Punzolin is incredibly beautiful. The road starts from the Indian Indian tea plantation in the north, passes through an endless turn, a narrow curve, a curving road to the quay, and reaches Thimphu via Chukha. The journey time of 175km is more than 6 hours. A combination of air and land is possible, but an Indian visa is required for land only.

Local guide

Hotel

There are a wide range of accommodation options, ranging from overnight stays to reasonable hotels and luxury resorts. Many of the hotels are simple but clean. The hotel does not have slippers, shampoo, shave, toothbrush or soap.
Please bring a towel just in case.
Facilities such as automatic water heaters and showers are fully equipped, but there may be no bathtub or hot water may not be available.

Bhutan's currency unit is pronounced as Nurtam (Nu: Ngultrum) or Nürtham. Since Indian Rupee and Bhutan Nurham are equivalent (1Nu = 1Rs), local people sometimes refer to Rs. Auxiliary currency is Chutram (Ch), 1Nu is 100Ch, but it is not currently used. There are 8 types of banknotes: 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500, 1000Nu. Exchange from Japanese yen is possible at airports, banks and hotels in Bhutan. Some souvenir shops can use US dollars but not Japanese yen, but it is not inconvenient to bring only Japanese yen.
