Notes on traveling in India 3 (meals and drinks)

This is a detailed explanation of things you should be aware of when traveling to India (meals, drinks, etc.)

About meal

India is a country of curry.

Curry is a common food in Nepal and Sri Lanka. For those who don't like spices or get tired of curry-only meals, there are Western restaurants in luxury hotels in large cities, intermediate hotels and Chinese restaurants in the city. Our tour offers a wide variety of meals including Indian and Western and Chinese dishes.
In the restaurant, cooked dishes such as curry, and unpeeled fruits such as bananas and tangerines are safe, but be careful of salads, cut fruits, and desserts made with raw vegetables. Food sold on the street is not recommended even if it is cooked due to problems such as storage, dust and flies. If you eat, please eat immediately after cooking.
Ordinary Indians eat curry with their right hand only dexterously, but spoons and forks are available in most restaurants as well as hotel restaurants. There are foods such as naan that you can eat with your hands, so be sure to wash your hands before meals.
Also, some people use a lot of spices and oils that they are not familiar with, and some people get tired of their stomachs and break their stomachs. If you feel sick, choose a dish with less spices to eat.

About mineral water

The price of mineral water varies depending on where you buy it.

About 100 rupees per hotel (there is a difference depending on the hotel), around 60-80 rupees for a restroom on the move (drive-in in Japan), and for general bazaars around the city One is about 25-30 rupees.
Most 750ml to 1L bottles are mainstream (500ml bottles like Japan are still few). Please do not drink tap water or fresh water because the ingredients (quality) of water differ between India and Japan. Be careful as the tap water is often used at restaurants. Also, since ice is often made from fresh water, it is a good idea to order without ice.
Mineral water is easily available at hotels. In some hotels, tap water (filtered) is put in a glass bottle or an empty mineral water bottle and cooled in the refrigerator. However, please do not drink this.
