Best time to travel in India

It is generally said that the season suitable for travel is from November to February when there is almost no rain and you can spend it in Japanese spring and autumn clothes. India has a tropical to subtropical climate, and it is divided into a rainy season (July and August), a dry season (September to March), and a hot season (April to June) depending on the monsoon. Although it tends to have an image of the southern country, it is not hot all year round, it is really hot only during the hot season when the temperature rises to 40 degrees Celsius, and the other seasons are very comfortable.

In India, which has a large land area, the climate varies greatly between the north and the south. The south is warm throughout the year, but temperatures drop in December and January. The Central Indian Plain is the hottest season from March to June due to the influence of the Thar Desert in the west. From March to June is the dry season, and from mid-June to September, it is raining in the rainy season. On the other hand, mountainous areas along the border of North India will enter the season as a summer resort. The North Indian Plain is the best season from October to February. The dry season begins and there is no rain and the weather is stable. November to late December is the autumn in Japan, mid-December to late January is winter, and late January to February is spring in Japan. Also, during these periods, in a wide range of North and Central India, due to the temperature difference between morning and daytime, dense fog is generated when the day falls, so the flight may be cancelled or significantly delayed.

Clothes

In South India, there are fewer seasonal temperature differences than North India, so summer clothes are the basis throughout the year. In North India, it is quite cold from mid-December to late January, so you need a sweater or jacket. In addition, Indian trains and buses are not heated, so they are cold in winter and hot outside in summer, so air conditioning may be too effective, so thin sweaters and jackets are useful.

toilet

There are almost no public toilets. There are places where there is no paper in the Arab style in some places. The hotel toilet is a Western-style flushing type.

smoking

Smoking is not allowed in public places. You may be fined if you smoke.

Preventive injection

Currently it is optional. Vaccinations are not required for short trips such as package tours.

health

The most common illnesses for travelers are diarrhoea, dysentery and hepatitis A virus. Avoid raw water and raw food, and wash your hands before meals before eating.
