Preparing for a trip to Sri Lanka

Basic knowledge you should know before traveling to Sri Lanka. We will explain in detail about visa application, Sri Lanka travel essentials, and expenses required during travel.

Sri Lanka visa application

A visa is required to enter Sri Lanka.
From January 1, 2012, a visa application is required for short-term sightseeing (less than 30 days) when traveling to Sri Lanka. When applying for a visa, you will need a round-trip air ticket for which the passport is valid for at least 6 months and the reservation has been confirmed. A Sri Lanka visa is an electronic visa (ETA) that you obtain on the Internet. When entering personal information, a passport is required and payment is made by credit card. When you enter information into the ETA system, you will receive an ETA by email. Please print out the issued ETA and bring it with you when traveling, and present it at the time of immigration in Sri Lanka. The visa application fee is $ 30 per person.
