Notes on Sri Lanka trip 3 (meals and drinks)

We will explain in detail about things you should be aware of when traveling to Sri Lanka (meals, drinks, etc.).

About meal

In Sri Lanka, like India, curry is a common food. For those who are not good at spices or who get tired of curry-only meals, there are Western restaurants in luxury hotels in large cities, intermediate hotels and Chinese restaurants in the city. There are also plenty of seafood dishes and fruits. In the restaurant, cooked dishes such as curry, and unpeeled fruits such as bananas and tangerines are safe, but be careful of salads, cut fruits, and desserts made with raw vegetables. Some people break their stomachs with dishes that use a lot of spicy foods and spices that they are not familiar with.

About mineral water

In Sri Lanka, bottled mineral water is sold everywhere and can be purchased easily. The price varies depending on the place of purchase, but in general bazaars, you can purchase 1 liter in Rs.20-50. Please do not drink tap water or well water because the water component (quality) is different from Japan. Make sure that the lid is properly closed when purchasing. Make sure the lid is properly closed even if it is in the hotel.
