Nepal Travel Notes 2 (Security / Shopping)

We will explain in detail about things you should be aware of when traveling in Nepal (security, price circumstances, shopping, etc.).
About security

Although it is generally not bad for security, please avoid going out at night or in unpopular places. As you may encounter damage such as picking up and leaving, especially in tourist areas, please carefully manage valuable items during free tour activities, free plan personal trips, even in hotels. Also, be aware that if a general strike called a panda occurs, transportation will stop and shops will close.

Prices situation

There is a big difference between the price of meals at a hotel for foreign tourists and the price of meals at a local restaurant. When shopping for bazaars, there are some people who want to pay more because they are foreigners, so try to acquire the value of local currency as soon as possible to see how much you can pay.

About shopping (souvenirs)

The Thamel area is home to hundreds of souvenir shops, and there are many shops selling pashmina, crafts, jewelry and sculptures. You can see local products everywhere in Nepal.

About sightseeing spots

In temples and temples, it may be strictly prohibited to carry shoes, so it is convenient to bring a bag to put your shoes in. Also, there are places where photography is restricted, so a camera that can manually switch the flash is convenient. In addition, there are locations where shooting is not possible (airports, military facilities, etc.), so check with your guide or local staff. In the case of photography / video shooting, additional fees may be charged at sightseeing spots. If you wish to take a photo, please inform the guide in advance and purchase a ticket. (Our estimates do not include the cost of bringing cameras or videos)
