Nepal Travel Notes 3 (Meals / Drinks)

We will explain in detail about things you should be aware of when traveling in Nepal
(meals, drinks, etc.).
About meal

Nepal's staple food is rice.
Curry using spices such as turmeric, coriander and chili is common.
In our tour, we offer a wide variety of meals such as Western and Chinese dishes as well as curry.
In the restaurant, cooked dishes such as curry and unpeeled fruits such as bananas and minna are safe, but be careful with salads with raw vegetables, cut fruits, and desserts.
Foods sold on the street are not recommended even if they are cooked due to problems such as storage, dust and flies. If you eat, please eat immediately after heat treatment.
In Nepal, the left hand is considered unclean. Therefore, Nepalese people use only their right hand to eat dexterous curry, but in addition to hotel restaurants, almost every restaurant has a spoon and fork, so you can eat with confidence. However, keep food with your right hand. Also, please wash your hands before meals.
Some people use a lot of spices and oils that they are not used to eating. If you feel sick, choose a dish with less spices to eat.

About mineral water

Never drink tap water or fresh water.
Nepal's tap water has different water components (quality) and may cause stomach damage. Please do not drink tap water or fresh water. You can easily get mineral water such as a bazaar. Make sure that the lid is securely closed when purchasing. Be careful as water in restaurants is often tap water. Also, ice is often made from fresh water, so be sure to remove the ice when ordering drinks.
